Noah Elliott Morrison is an Emmy Award winning cinematographer with many years of experience in commercial, documentary, and narrative films. His work as director of photography has premiered at Sundance (feature doc). It has also been published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, WIRED, VICE, Nikkei, NPR Music, and it has been distributed to theaters worldwide.
As cinematographer / director of photography he has filmed for HBO, Paramount, ESPN, Amazon Prime, PUMA, The NFL, The Ford Motor Company, General Motors / Chevrolet, PBS, eBay, The Detroit Red Wings, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and many others. Morrison is an experienced 16mm film shooter. He is a licensed drone pilot, geared head camera operator, and he is a local to Michigan (Detroit) & New York – NYC.
Prior to filmmaking, he produced and directed in a variety of administrative positions for arts nonprofits in Detroit, Michigan and Shijiazhuang, China. He is a multi-instrumentalist, performer, and has recorded many musicians including Danny Kroha for Third Man Records. A Documenting America: Detroit Fellow, Morrison holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

It would be difficult to count the number of days Noah Elliott Morrison has had on set, but it would likely be over 2,000 days. As a narrative and story-first cinematographer, Morrison brings that attention and respect of the art of writing to all his endeavors. His award winning commercial, documentary, and narrative work are always successful at conveying the message and tone of the director.
Collaboration is the core of all film work whether that’s above the line or below the line. You will find Morrison working in Michigan, but also around the United States and the world on travel jobs. His work with celluloid 35mm and 16mm has been highly in demand. Unique lighting arrays as well as motivated camera movement are a signature of his work.
Morrison is now well into his second decade as a working cinematographer / director of photography. With multiple Emmy wins, Webby and other commercial awards, as well as countless film festival selections including Sundance, Morrison is always looking for new collaborators.
